Arrested and accused of selling crack and marijuana

EVANSVILLE, IN (WFIE) -

Evansville Police and detectives with the joint task force have arrested two people on drug charges near McGary School.

On Tuesday afternoon, Officers responded to the 3500 block of Jackson for a narcotics complaint. After smelling the odor of burnt marijuana coming from the apartment, officers got a search warrant. During the search, they recovered 8 grams of crack cocaine and 8 grams of marijuana. Officers say they also found numerous corner baggies and a digital scale.

Officers then arrested 24-year-old Eric Dontae Wilson on charges of Dealing Cocaine, Dealing Marijuana within 1,000 ft of a school, Possession of Cocaine, Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Paraphernalia, and Trespassing charges.

Another apartment resident, 23-year-old Whitney R. Washington was arrested on outstanding warrants and Maintaining a Common Nuisance charges.
