    LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – The first Bardstown police officer killed in the line of duty in the department's 150-year history was ambushed, possibly from a hilltop, according to the Jefferson County Coroner's
    The coroner said a 12-gauge shotgun was used to shoot K-9 Officer Jason Ellis multiple times -- possibly from a hilltop -- early Saturday morning on an off-ramp leading from the Bluegrass Parkway to Highway 55 in Nelson County.
EVANSVILLE, IN (WFIE) -

On Monday, Evansville Police and agents with the ATF arrested 21-year-old Randy Wayne Clemons Jr. on weapons and drug charges at his home at 921 W. Maryland.

Clemons was arrested after officers reported finding a stolen handgun and 1.7 pounds of marijuana in his home. Officers also seized an AR-15 rifle, a shotgun, and $2,880 in cash from the home.

Clemons, who is unemployed, was charged with Receiving Stolen Property (gun), Dealing Marijuana, Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Paraphernalia, and Maintaining a Common Nuisance.

Clemons reported being the victim of a home invasion robbery on January 24 at the same location.

Trevor Robertson is in jail on charges stemming from that incident.
