TELL CITY, IN (WFIE) -
There's an update Monday night on the Tell City infant allegedly abused by her father.
Police say four month old Ashlyn Groves is still fighting for her life at Kosair's Childrens Hospital. She has a fractured skull, facial bruises and other injuries.
Her father, 23-year-old Coy Smith is charged with battery resulting in serious bodily injury to a child, punishable by up to 20 years in prison.
Police have yet to release much information about the incident, but a probable cause affidavit alleges Smith grabbed and threw the child while she was with him in the apartment on the Friday night of May 11.
This case is still being investigated and more charges could still come.
