Weber Logistics, a leading third party logistics company in the western U.S., today announced the appointment of Scott Weiss and Mike Gingerella as vice presidents of client solutions. In this business development role, each will work closely with customers, and with Weber’s engineering and operations teams, to develop customized logistics solutions. Both will report to Weber’s senior vice president of client solutions, Marc Levin.
According to Levin, “There is often a big gap between just any solution and the right solution. Mike and Scott are senior level consultants who can translate the customer’s supply chain objectives into winning strategies and services that make sense for that customer and drive bottom-line value.”
Scott Weiss actually began his logistics career as a member of Weber’s sales team before leaving to assume business development roles with Saddle Creek Corporation and APL Logistics, where he integrated high-profile distribution centers in China, India, and the Netherlands. An expert on Southern California logistics, Weiss is a frequent speaker at industry events and is on the Board of Directors for the Los Angeles Transportation Club. He holds a BS degree in business from San Francisco State University, an MBA degree in comparative management from California State University, Fullerton and a Global Logistics Specialist Designation from California State University, Long Beach.
Mike Gingerella is a 16-year business development professional with a specialization in chemical logistics, chemical waste management, and environmental services. Prior to joining Weber, Gingerella was business development manager at Rinchem Company, where he worked with chemical companies to design and implement global supply chain services. He will work with Weber customers across a range of industries, but will have a particular focus on the chemical industry and leveraging Weber’s reputation as the premier chemical logistics company in the western U.S. Gingerella, who will be based in Mesa, AZ, earned a degree in chemistry and environmental studies from Penn State University.
Founded in 1924, Weber Logistics provides warehousing, transportation, and import logistics solutions from the western U.S. With 17 distribution centers throughout the region, Weber gives growing companies in the CPG, chemical, food, and retail sectors the most flexible, scalable distribution solutions for their west region customers.
