NEWBURGH, IN (WFIE) -
Chardonnay, Merlot or Moscato, whatever your preferred wine of choice is, they'll all be on hand this weekend at the Wine, Art and Jazz Festival in Newburgh.
Crews are working to set up tents by the Lock and Dam.
Seventeen area wineries will be pouring out their best drinks, the event also includes 15 different artists, food vendors, and jazz music all day long.
Carol Schaefer with Historic Newburgh says it's a good opportunity to sample something new to drink and you can even the judge the wines Friday night at the Grapes on the Grass soiree.
"That's the whole point of it," Schaefer said. "There will actually be five different stations, that you will have an opportunity to taste the wine and judge the wine. Now, you may end up with the sweet wines, and might prefer the dry wines, but you know what? After eight o'clock, you can drink any of the wines that you want."
There are still tickets available for the soiree Friday night, and the festival goes on Saturday from noon until 9:00 p.m.
