A Mesker Park Zoo representative says the warm weather means it's time to move the Zoo's tortoises from their indoor exhibit in the Kley Building to their outdoor exhibits.
FiveNorthern leopard tortoises and four African spurred tortoises will be making their move on Thursday morning.
One of the world's largest species of turtles, an Aldabra tortoise will also be moved on Thursday at 8 a.m. This particular tortoise weighs 222 pounds; therefore, it takes several people and a small vehicle to move her.
