There could be a new business coming to downtown Owensboro.
On Wednesday, Fifth Third Bank will submit its design for a new bank to the Owensboro Historic Preservation Board. Officials say the design will be a single story building, 5,400 square feet with four or five teller windows.
"It's always a good thing to have new buildings and a new business downtown," said downtown design administrator, Nathan Nunley.
The bank would be located at 5th and Frederica.
That meeting is Wednesday morning at 10:00 a.m. in room 406 at City Hall. It's open to the public.
