Indiana State Police responded to a fatal accident on NB I-164, close to the 19 mile-marker.

Officials say the driver was 47-year-old Michael K. Horn, of Boonville, who was driving northbound on I-164 approaching the 19 ½ mile-marker when for unknown reasons his vehicle left the roadway on the west side and drove approximately 500 feet in the grassy median before colliding into the impact barrels and concrete support wall at the Elberfeld Road overpass.

ISP says that moments before the crash, Evansville Central Dispatch had received several 911 calls reporting Horn's vehicle was north of the 18 mile-marker driving all over the roadway.

Horn was pronounced dead at the scene.  Troopers are still attempting to determine if Horn was wearing a seat belt.

The investigation is continuing and an autopsy is scheduled for later this week.
