Three in custody on felony robbery charges

Three suspects are in custody after a tip from the community leads police to their whereabouts.

The case began on April 27 around 11:30 a.m., when the Owensboro Police Department responded to a robbery call at Frederica Street Walmart.

Three suspects were allegedly shoplifting from the store, and when stopped by security, the male suspect pulled out a large knife.

There were no reported injuries. The suspects fled in a silver Nissan Altima.

The Owensboro Police Department received a Crime Stoppers tip that led to a joint investigation by OPD and the Evansville Police Department. The tipster recognized the suspects from surveillance video that had been released by the Owensboro Police Department.

Arrest warrants were served on these three suspects.

30 year-old Victor I. Reyes of Evansville
Charges-Robbery, 1st Degree – Class B Felony
Currently held in the Vanderburgh County Detention Center awaiting extradition.

32 year-old Ruth E. Anderson of Evansville
Charges-Robbery, 1st Degree – Class B Felony
Currently held at the Daviess County Detention Center

27 year-old Latosha M. Johnson of Evansville
Charges-Robbery, 1st Degree – Class B Felony
Currently at the Daviess County Detention Center
