The candidate who will take on Richard Mourdock in November for Indiana's U.S. Senate seat kicked off a campaign tour on Saturday in Evansville.
Democrat Joe Donnelly held a rally this afternoon with Teamsters. He'll face Mourdock in the race for Richard Lugar's Senate seat. Many Democrats believe Donnelly now has a good chance at winning since Lugar will not be on the ticket. Donnelly tells 14 News he's the candidate to get the state back on track.
"I think we need to try to work together. It's really not about Democrats or Republicans. It's about Americans, about Hoosiers, and trying to make our country stronger. That's what I stand for," said Donnelly.
John Gregg, the candidate for governor also attended that rally.
