PRINCETON, IN (WFIE) -

A Princeton man has been sentenced to 11 years in prison after pleading guilty to a stabbing from February.

Michael D. Huebner, 42, pled guilty to Aggravated Battery, as well as to Possession of Marijuana with a Prior Conviction,  and Possession of Paraphernalia.

According to reports, Huebner stabbed Christopher Montgomery in a house across the street from a beauty shop in Princeton on February 2nd, 2012.

Members of the Princeton Police Department and Gibson County Sheriff's Office, went to the home in question, noticing blood on the door immediately knocking, identifying themselves  demanded the door be opened.

After a negative response from inside the home, officers kicked the door open and quickly located Huebner, who was covered in blood.

Huebner admitted to officers he had stabbed Montgomery shortly before their arrival.

As part of the plea agreement that called for Huebner to serve an 11 year prison sentence, Huebner also agreed to waive his right to request a sentence modification and further agreed that he will not be eligible to serve any part of his sentence on work release.
