The only Catholic High School in Dubois County is closing after finals next week.
There's just over a dozen students at John Paul The Great, and officials say they haven't seen an increase in enrollment since opening in 2009. Officials say classmates will still have the opportunity to see each other.
"Providing maybe a local cooperative experience, finding ways, brainstorming ways for the students to come back together again, service opportunities, prayer opportunities, social opportunities," said Board of Directors Vice President Dr. Mark Ginter.
Officials say there are other families in the area with younger children possibly wanting a Catholic high school, so re-opening the school in a few years is a possibility.
