SANTA CLAUS, IN (WFIE) -

Holiday World is just one day away from unveiling their brand new addition the park: the Mammoth water coaster.

It's dubbed the world's longest water coaster at a third of a mile in length. After taking a look at it Thursday, we can tell you this: it's pretty intense.

The Mammoth sends riders in boats to a series of drops, including one that's three stories high at a 45 degree angle.

That's a total of 187 feet of downward drops.

It's a $9 million water coaster and park president Dan Koch says, it's a thrilling addition to Holiday World and Splashin' Safari.

"It's incredible. And the industry, besides all the folks, the people who come to Holiday World and Splashin' Safari, the whole nation and the whole world is looking at this ride because it's a unique, one of a kind ride. There's nowhere else in the planet that has a ride like this," Koch said.

If you're ready to brave the Mammoth, you can, starting Friday.
