Help feed the hungry in the Tri-State

Posted: Updated:

Today is "Red" Day". 30,000 associates from Keller Williams Realty across the US are participating in Red Day.

This is the fourth annual Red Day. It stands for renew, energize and donate and is a way the company gives back to the community.

Today, employees with Keller Williams Realty will be at Roberts Stadium conducting a food drive to benefit the Tri-State Food Bank.

The company believes fighting hunger in communities across the country is a good way to "give back."

They'll be at Roberts Stadium from 8 a.m. until 5:30 this evening.

You can bring your donations anytime during that time period.

Also, on the topic of food drives, Mayor Lloyd Winnecke will announce this morning his support for the "National Association of Letter Carriers Food Drive."

This year is the 20th anniversary of this nation-wide event.

It's the largest one-day food-collection event in the nation and has been a success every year; city officials encourage residents to get involved with this.

The food drive is happening this Saturday, May 12.

Their goal is to collect 100,000 pounds of food.  All you have to do is donate your goods to your mailman.

You can even leave it on your doorstep or mailbox for them to collect.
