The Administrator of Nursing Excellence is an award designed to recognize nurses in leadership positions within the organization. The award winner fosters and supports a culture of Nursing Excellence, interacts with and contributes to the professional development of peers and colleagues.
The 2014 Administrator of Nursing Excellence award goes to Mary Moll. According to her nominators, "Mary always searches for a ‘win-win' for everyone. She always has a positive attitude, is respectful and knowledgeable."
Mary started her career with St. Mary's as a staff nurse on the Post-Surgical Unit. She obtained her Master's in Nursing from the University of Evansville. Mary has devoted 37 years in a variety of roles at St. Mary's including staff nurse, charge nurse, educator, director and executive director in medical surgical nursing.
One of Mary's key attributes is her insightfulness. She is a great problem-solver. When faced with a challenge, she has the ability to develop a viable solution and a plan. She will look for opportunities for improvement constantly. Mary promotes teamwork and fosters communication between team members and departments. Mary supports professional nursing and education for all the staff. She serves on many hospital committees and workgroups and is the past advisor for the Clinical Practice Council. Mary is certified as a Medical Surgical Registered Nurse and holds Nurse Executive Advanced certification.
