Better healthcare for Ohio County town

Posted: Updated:
OHIO CO., KY (WFIE) -

Fordsville residents now have a better way of getting medical attention.

That's because of a new clinic and pharmacy.

The community has gone three years without a pharmacy and decent clinic.

Recently, Rice's Pharmacy opened here in the medical clinic building.

Before, residents would have to drive at least 20 miles away to get prescriptions filled. This especially put a big burden on the senior population.

City officials say having better access right in the center of town will help the entire community. The goal is to keep building up the town for other amenities too.

The pharmacy and clinic are open everyday during the week.
