EVANSVILLE, IN (WFIE) -

Allied Waste of Evansville has released details of its contract offer was rejected last week by Teamsters Local 215.

General Manager Mark McKune says the main issue is the viability of the current central states pension fund for the 79 employees.

Allied Waste wants to withdraw from the fund and replace it with a 401k plan. Teamsters President Chuck Whobrey agrees the sticking point is the retirement plan and says he doesn't expect any job action because trash pickup is so important in the community.
