QUITMAN, TX (KLTV) -
A 9-year-old Quitman girl died after falling on the church playground.
According to authorities, Ally Baker was transported to Children's Medical Center in Dallas after falling on the playground at the First United Methodist Church in Quitman around 6:00 p.m., Wednesday.
Ally died early Thursday morning.
Dick White, Minister over First United Methodist Church says Ally suffered an aneurysm while playing on the playground equipment at the church Wednesday evening. It was youth night at the church.
White says Ally fell from the equipment after suffering the aneurysm.
Doctors tell the parents while they believe it is in fact a brain aneurysm, that information will not be conclusive until an autopsy has been conducted.
Ally's parents say that she was very involved in the community, and was even Little Miss Dogwood. The Quitman Chamber of Commerce says Ally was crowned in 2010.
Ally was a huge Texas Rangers fan, her parents added.
Minister White says that he and the entire congregation have their thoughts, prayers, hearts, and support with the Baker family, and all of the Baker's friends and loved ones.
"We'll be here to support them and the community," Minister White added.
