VINCENNES, IN (WFIE) - Old Town Players community theatre will hold open auditions for HAPPY DAYS: A New Musical on May 7 and 8, 7:00 p.m. at the OTP Theatre and Arts Center located on Broadway at Fifth Street in Vincennes. Parts are available for ages 15 and over. Newcomers are welcome and encouraged to try out.
Persons interested in singing parts should prepare a vocal solo and bring an accompaniment CD without vocals or sing a cappella. There will be a dance audition so appropriate clothing/shoes should be worn. In addition, there will be brief readings from the script.
For those who would like to participate in a non-acting capacity, production assistants are also needed to help with set construction, painting, props, costumes, and more.
Auditions will be conducted by OTP veteran artistic director Jack Mahoney and by Steve Gray in his directorial debut. Performances will be July, 13-15 and 20-22, with show times at 8:00 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, and 3:00 p.m. Sundays. For more information, visit OTP's website, www.oldtownplayers.org.
