House fire in Princeton called 'suspicious'

PRINCETON, IN (WFIE) -

Dispatchers tell 14 News the Princeton Fire Department is battling a house fire on Illinois and Seminary.

Crews are at 824 south Seminary Street where the house was fully engulfed in flames.

This same house was damaged in a fire on March 27th, killing a 24-year-old woman from Ft. Branch, two men escaped.

Officials ruled the first fire an accident due to an electrical problem with a window fan.

The Fire Chief is calling this suspicious, likely arson because quote, "there is no way it could have burned like that without an accelerant."

The house has been unoccupied since the last fire.
