Developing: Five to seven reported shot at PA hospital

A mass shooting took place inside a University of Pittsburgh, PA, hospital around 1:45 p.m. CST Thursday that left one person dead, according to multiple news outlets. We will have the latest on this developing story tonight at 5.

The Saline County coroner has confirmed a seventh person has died from injuries sustained in the EF4 tornado on Feb. 29. The retired coal miner's wife is still in critical condition. Carly O'Keefe will have the latest from Harrisburg tonight on Heartland News at 5.

Gov. Pat Quinn is asking President Barack Obama to declare five southern Illinois counties major disaster areas so local residents and businesses hurt by recent tornadoes can receive federal aid.

Gov. Jay Nixon requested a federal major disaster declaration for the state of Missouri on Wednesday.

Also, tonight at 5, we will tell you about students in Charleston who are holding a week-long food drive just for tornado victims in Harrisburg.
