A group from Southwest Louisiana stopped in Lake Arthur, La and picked up additional donations for victims affected by the Harrisburg, Ill. tornadoes.
"We packed up a trailer early Saturday morning and headed to Harrisburg. We are returning to Lake Arthur on Sunday to pick up more supplies," volunteer Wally Guidry said. "We will then head to Lake Charles to pick up more."
Guidry explained that the group chose Harrisburg because of their ties to a few friends from that area who helped out SWLA during the aftermath of 2005 Hurricane Rita.
All donations accepted went to The Little Chapel Church in Harrisburg, Ill. The church distributed
the items to those in need throughout the Illinois area and to other states in need.
