The names have been released in a shooting investigation in Muhlenberg County.

Kentucky State Police say it appears to be a murder and attempted suicide.

Troopers say 36-year-old Amy Dennison was found dead in a van along Kentucky highway 175 north near Bremen.

Investigators say they found 34-year-old Lennie Dillon near the shooting scene with an apparent self-inflicted gun shot wound.

Troopers say this all started when Dillon called police, saying he might hurt himself.

KSP then responded to the scene on Kentucky 175 and found Dennison with multiple gunshot wounds.

Troopers then located Dillon about a mile from the van in a nearby wooded area. They say he appeared to have a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Dillon was later transported to St. Mary's Hospital in Evansville.

KSP does have an active warrant for Dillon's arrest on the charge of murder. Family members say Dillon and Dennison had been dating and trooper Stu Recke says their K-9 unit was crucial in locating Dillon.

"It made it a lot quicker and we were able to find the gentleman in a reasonable amount of time where as if we had not been able to track him, who knows we could still be out there today trying to find the individual," Recke said.

Dillon is listed in serious condition and KSP are still trying to investigate why this all happened.
