WESTERN KY (WFIE) -

Job opportunities throughout the region will be on display by numerous companies and organizations participating in the Job Fair hosted by Northwest Kentucky Forward.

The one day event will be held at the Henderson Fine Arts Center, Thursday, February 23. It allows job seekers to participate in a free event from 9a.m. until 5p.m.

Participants will have the opportunity to meet with and learn more about the companies that are looking to hiring.

"The Job Fair provides agencies and job seekers a single place to discover what opportunities are available and talk to people who are actually hiring," said Betsy Wells-Jones, Education and Workforce Coordinator for Northwest Kentucky Forward.

Beyond meeting companies and learning about job opportunities, participants will have the chance to win door prizes every hour, including gas and Wal-Mart cards.

Participants will also have a chance to learn about job training programs and databases, such as The Northwest Kentucky Works.

"Northwest Kentucky Works allows job seekers a way to link with employers through a system which is free to participants, easy to use, and based on demonstrated skills and training," stated Wells-Jones.

Northwest Kentucky Forward is a public-private partnership charged with creating wealth and opportunity for Henderson, McLean, Union and Webster Counties. For more information about Northwest Kentucky Forward go to their website at www.northwestky.com.
