EVANSVILLE, IN (WFIE) -

The City of Evansville has a new towing contract.

The Board of Public Safety awarded a three-year contract to Tri-State Towing, after more than an hour of discussion and public comment. Tri-State Towing is the company that hold the current contract.

Board President Jayne Manis said positive feedback from the Evansville Police Department was a big reason why she voted in favor of Tri-State Towing.

Hamrick's Towing and Recovery was the other company seeking the contract.
