EVANSVILLE, IN (WFIE) -

Tuesday evening, February 21, Indiana State Police arrested Tracy Dickens, 40, and Amy Kippenbrock, 36, both of Evansville, after a criminal investigation revealed they obtained a controlled substance by fraud while employed at an Evansville dentist office in 2009.  Kippenbrock was arrested after she turned herself in at the Vanderburgh County Jail.  Dickens was arrested at her Evansville residence without incident and taken to the Vanderburgh County Jail. They were both released after posting bond.

In December 2009, Indiana State Police Detective Vinnie Gieselman initiated a criminal investigation after receiving information that Dickens, an office manager for the dentist office, had been calling in fraudulent prescriptions for hydrocodone. She was allegedly calling in the prescriptions for herself and claiming to have been authorized to do so by the dentist.  Dickens allegedly used the names of family, friends and patients to obtain numerous fraudulent prescriptions between March and September 2009.

Further investigation revealed that on at least one occasion, Dickens called in a prescription for hydrocodone without authorization and Kippenbrock, a dental assistant in the same office, allegedly picked up the prescription and later delivered it to Dickens.
