A local group of law enforcement professionals is investigating to see if it has been the target of theft.
Earlier this week, Board members with the Warrick County Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 148, located in Boonville, met with members to announce discrepancies discovered in one of its bank accounts.
The discrepancies were actually discovered on February the 7th. At that point, board members did an internal audit and a review of their accounts. They then discovered additional suspicious activity on one of the accounts.
A local prosecutor, asked to help out with the case, has now requested a special investigator from the state be assigned to further look into this matter.
So far, authorities are being tight-lipped as to who might be the target of the investigation, and how much money might be involved.
