A Henderson County high school basketball player has been arrested in the case involving cell phone video from the boys' locker room.
Police say 18-year old Gavont Baker was taken into custody Sunday on a felony warrant for video voyeurism. Baker is also facing a second degree charge of Unlawful transaction with a minor. He's now out on bond.
The video shows a naked student in the locker room. Police say they investigated the case because that student is a minor and the video is considered obscene under Kentucky law.
Superintendent Dr. Thomas Richey confirms to 14 news, the athletic director and the school principal have interviewed coaches about the incident.
The athletic director also submitted a report to the board Monday night stating the coaches have been told they were responsible for the supervision of their team.
Superintendent Dr. Thomas Richey says administrators want to know from the teams' coaches where they were while the Henderson County High School boys basketball teams were horsing around in the locker room and how a team member was allowed to be filmed naked.
Authorities say the video was shot after practice, outside of school hours. It quickly began making its rounds during the school day after being sent by cell phone to several students.
Baker is the only student arrested, while other students involved were suspended. Police say there will be no more arrests in the case because Baker is the only "18-year-old involved".
