EVANSVILLE, IN (WFIE) -

Two EVSC high school students are arrested after authorities say they had drugs at school. Saturday, the school system is speaking out about the issue.

Friday, two Harrison High School students were arrested for possession of narcotics.

According to police, Derrick Zack, 18,  was arrested on two counts of narcotics possession, after it was discovered he was carrying marijuana and morphine pills.

Arrick Abbott, 18,  was then arrested on one count of narcotics possession, after it was discovered that he was carrying oxycodone.

Marsha Jackson of the Evansville-Vanderburgh School Corporation says they do not tolerate drugs in the schools, and that the suspects will be dealt with accordingly.

"If we get a tip that you have drugs and you're at school, we're going to search your locker. We're going to search your car. We may search your car three times that week because we're not going to allow that," said Jackson.

14 News will have an update when more information becomes available.
