Evansville-based board game right on track for June release

EVANSVILLE, IN (WFIE) -

Local businesses are buying in to Evansvilleopoly. It's the local version of a monopoly-style game we first told you about last month.

President of Outright Games is making the game to tie into Evansville's bicentennial celebration this year.

She tells 14 News production is on schedule, so the game should be ready in June.

Edwards says companies have been quick to sponsor spaces on the game board.

"There are a total of about 50 opportunities to be on this game in some fashion or another and I have four left. So, it went like lightning and I'm really happy with some of the places we have on there. I mean, really hometown stuff," Edwards told 14 News.

Businesses and organizations, like the Ford Center, Shoe Carnival, Turonis, Wolf's BarBQ and the LST 325 are involved in the project.
