A standoff is over Thursday morning after a woman barricaded herself inside her home at 8458 Hwy 1078 North in Henderson County. The area is located between Zion and Spottsville.
Dispatch says it started just after 4:00 a.m. Thursday.
The Highway was closed as authorities tried to contain the situation. Residents were asked to stay in their homes.
The woman surrendered herself to authorities just before 8:30 a.m. Thursday morning. Highway 1078 is now reopen, and the lockdown has been lifted.
The call originally came in as a suicide threat. Deputies say the woman did not have any weapons. She has been taken to Methodist Hospital for a mental evaluation.
The Henderson Co. Sheriff's Dept. responded to the scene.
