VANDERBURGH CO., IN (WFIE) -
Driving conditions could prove to a challenge for those out on the roads overnight.
In Vanderburgh County, crews began putting down that salt brine and beet juice mixture early this afternoon. Chances are you might have seen those lines on some roads on your drive home tonight.
That's to help keep the snow and freezing rain from sticking to the pavement.
Many road crews are in a wait and see mode. It all depends on what falls first snow or freezing rain as to what they do next.
"There's different practices to what we do to combat different situations and we have to wait and see how they come in and that determines how we deal with it," says Mike Duckworth of the Vanderburgh County Highway Department.
14 News is keeping an eye on road conditions and will have another update live on 14 News at 10.
