EVANSVILLE, IN (WFIE) -
Dozens of students and their families came out to Ivy Tech Community College this afternoon for 'College Goal Sunday'.
Financial Aid Representatives were on hand to help them fill out their FAFSA forms, the paperwork required for students to be considered for federal and state aid.
Organizers say the forms can be daunting and that's why they're there to help.
"Financial aid counselors do this specific type of counseling every day for a living, they're very knowledgeable, and again we would encourage the community to come out and gain access to these professionals' knowledge," says program organizer Mary Harper.
Evansville's Ivy Tech location was one of 39 around the state participating in 'College Goal Sunday'.
