Tri-Staters gather for big game

EVANSVILLE, IN (WFIE) -

Millions of Americans tune-in to watch the Super Bowl every year.

For many Tri-Staters, the Fox and Hound Pub is the place to be for the big game.

"Obviously, we are a sports bar. We do a great deal of sporting events here, multiple TV viewing and obviously on bigger days like this, we kind of up our staff a little bit," said Mike Clements of the Fox and Hound.

Upping staff means beefing up security. More bouncers are put on the floor and police make extra patrols.

"We do have a couple off-duty police officers that we can get a hold of if we need to. We do have two pretty big bartenders," Clements said.

Everyone at the bar is happy to have added security should a fight break out, but most weren't focused on that Sunday as the outcome of the game was just as important.

"We're Indy fans. So yeah, we have to pull against Tom Brady and go with Eli Manning this year," Clements said.

"Definitely have to pull for Eli. Colts fans don't like Patriots," said Christina Tetrick of the Fox and Hound.

The Fox and Hound plans to remain open until 3:00 a.m.
