MUNCIE, IN (WFIE) -
Two Muncie, Indiana police officers are wounded and a suspect killed in a shooting near Ball State University.
Police say a man opened fire on an police officer Friday afternoon.
The officer returned fire and hit the suspect, who was taken to the hospital where he later died.
The officer suffered a wound to the face and is in stable condition.
A second officer was treated when his bullet proof vest was struck by a bullet. Police gave no motive for the shooting and say there was no threat to the University.
