Evansville police have released the picture of the man they believe kidnapped and sexually assaulted a child.

26-year-old Jack Perkins III faces charges of Child Molestation and Criminal Confinement.

Police say last Tuesday, around 5 p.m., a child was lured into a maroon car and was sexually abused. 

They tell 14 News multiple tips from the public led them to Perkins, and that he confessed during an interview with EPD's Sex Crimes Unit.

Perkins is scheduled to make his first court appearance Tuesday.

Now authorities are continuing to look into unsolved cases to see if there are additional victims.
