HOPKINS CO., KY (WFIE) -

Hopkins Co. authorities have found a Madisonville man who escaped from the Hopkins Co. Jail.

The Hopkins County Jail tells 14 News that 32-year-old Keith Allen Stafford walked off jail property Tuesday night while he was supposed to be doing community service washing police cars.

He was found around 11:00 a.m. Wednesday.

The jail says Stafford was serving 120 days for a misdemeanor assault and was scheduled for release on March 30th.

Stafford could now be charged with a felony, and could serve up to a maximum of five years.
