Drivers pull Owensboro woman from wrecked SUV

OHIO CO., KY (WFIE) -

Eight people lift an SUV off an Owensboro woman.

It happened Wednesday afternoon.

State police say Jessica Moss, 27, was traveling westbound on Kentucky 54 around the one mile-marker when she ran off the right shoulder of the roadway.

She attempted to regain control by over-correcting or over-steering her 2004 Chevrolet Trail Blazer.

Moss's vehicle then crossed both lanes and slid sideways into the eastbound ditch where she struck a group of trees.

Her vehicle then over turned, throwing her from the vehicle. Her vehicle landed on top of her at final rest.

Approximately eight motorists were able to lift her SUV off of her in an effort for extract her from underneath her vehicle.

Moss was sent to the Owensboro hospital where she is in critical condition.

She was not wearing a seatbelt.

It is unknown if speed, drugs and/or alcohol is a factor in the collision.

The investigation is continuing.
