Officers find meth lab at inmates' Dubois Co. home

HUNTINGBURG, IN (WFIE) -

A pair of Vanderburgh County inmates are going to be headed back to Dubois County after deputies found a meth lab at their home.

Officers say they went to the Washington Street home of Eric and Amy Schaber to serve a warrant out of Vanderburgh County.

After the Schabers were booked into jail in Vanderburgh County, Dubois County authorities say they received a tip that the pair was making meth at their home, located in Huntingburg.

Officers got a search warrant and say they found an active meth lab in the basement.

According to a release, the suspects are supposed to be sent back to Dubois County to answer for the meth charges stemming from the search warrant.

Those charges are manufacturing and possessing meth as well as some charges of having paraphernalia and precursors.
