EVANSVILLE, IN (WFIE) -
The Indiana UItility Regulatory Commission is offering a new program to help homeowners, businesses and schools lower their energy costs.
It's called Energizing Indiana.
The program offers money-saving actions that help you use energy wisely and make your home, school or business more comfortable.
Officials say experts will help you identify where you can save energy based on your current home.
Officials say Energizing Indiana is an aggressive energy-saving initiative, that will especially help the homeowners in the Evansville area.
"Indiana, especially Evansville, has naturally older housing stock, meaning older homes are literally just wasting and eating a lot of energy," said Vectren spokesperson Chase Kelley.
It's a statewide initiative, meaning Vectren is only a supporting partner, along with some other agencies like Duke Energy.
