The 23rd Annual Downtown Holiday Parade will take place this Sunday at 3:15 p.m.

Parade officials say clowns, fire trucks, floats, tractors, motorcycles, vintage vehicles, dancing groups, animals, and jolly old St. Nick will be in attendance.

The festivities start at noon with Santa's Workshop in the park at Fourth and Main Streets.

Holiday music will fill the air, vendors will be selling tasty treats, and children will enjoy free craft projects, a coloring contest and photos with Santa.

The parade, presented by the Growth Alliance for Greater Evansville (GAGE), will feature roughly 80 units which will be led by Mayor Jonathan Weinzapfel who will stop to light the official City Christmas tree at the plaza in front of the Ford Center on Main Street.

The parade will travel from the Civic Center parking lot to Sycamore Street, turning left onto Third Street and then heading up Main Street to Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard. The route is also available on the GAGE website at
