Nicole was proud to join the 14 News Sunrise team in November of 2011.
She pursued her dreams of becoming a journalist at the University of Missouri where she graduated with a degree in Broadcast Journalism.
While still an undergraduate there, she reported for the NBC affiliate, KOMU.
While a senior at Mizzou, Nicole spent a semester in Belgium interning at Reuters. She spent late nights at the European Union Commission waiting to interview heads of state, who were coming out of summits concerning the Greek debt crisis.
She was just four hours away from Joplin on May 22 when an EF5 tornado touched down.
She worked with Diane Sawyer's crew hours after the tornado hit. Touched by the resilience of the people Nicole continued to go back to Joplin weekly to report, and helped shoot a documentary, "32 Minutes in May."
Being a Chicago native, she speaks fluent Polish.
On her free time she loves traveling any chance she gets, running, and meeting new people.
