Tonight's Special Report: Bridge Breakdown - Are we safe?

Coming up at 10 on 14News, in an area surrounded by creeks and rivers, many in the Tri-State cross bridges multiple times a day. But how safe are the bridges you're driving over? After the closure of the Sherman Minton Bridge to Louisville in September, 14News decided to take a look at bridges in our area. Brandon Bartlett examined several inspection reports for the Tri-State and found out one in particular is made from the same steel as the Sherman Minton.

Lorilyn Prestidge will be live in New Harmony after a consultant recommends closing the K-12 New Harmony School at a school board meeting earlier tonight.

More than 50 cats were seized by animal control officers in Owensboro today, after receiving complaints from neighbors. Dave Kirk was on the scene as the animals were brought out of the home.

Plus, Chief Meteorologist Jeff Lyons will have the latest on the freeze warning for the Tri-State – Jeff says some of the coldest air of the season is headed our way . He'll tell you what to expect for the morning commute & if this cold weather will be here for the weekend. Join us at 10.
