The City of Madisonville is taking steps to improve customer service. Earlier this year, the city created a program called "Go Madisonville", a website and smartphone application where residents can submit comments or concerns to city hall.
Along with the website, the city has opened up a "Go Madisonville" office for a more publicly accessible site. The office is located on North Main Street at the Madisonville Municipal Utilities lobby.
Officials say so far "Go Madisonville" has served over 500 requests, and they hope a more central office will bring even more.
"You can walk right in. Our customers and residents are always welcome. The door is always open, you don't have to make an appointment, you don't have to be buzzed in, and you just walk right in," says Director of Customer Service Leslie Curneal.
The program is designed to help residents and city staff improve communications. The public is invited to stop by the office, or visit the website: www.gomadisonville.com.
