Three charged in Horse Branch fires

Three individuals have been charged in a Kentucky arson case that originated in March.

The investigation began in March when several structures and residences caught fires over a two day period. One of the structures included the Horse Branch Elementary School in Horse Branch, KY.

Two outbuildings were destroyed at the school, but the school itself had only smoke and heat damage.

Tina Abbeduto, 37, and Joseph Blake Darnell, 26, and Ricki Lacey, 31, were all charged in the case.  

Abbeduto was charged with three count of Second Degree Arson, two counts of First Degree Burlary while Black and Lacey were both charged with five counts of Second Degree Arson, four counts of Frist Degree Burlary.

All three were charged with one count of Theft by Unlawful Taking.

Lacey was also charged with one count of being a Persistent Felony Offenders and is being held at the Deerborn Correctional Facility awaiting extradition to Kentucky.
