EVANSVILLE, IN (WFIE) -

A Bosse High School student is arrested after Evansville Police say he brought a gun to school.

Antonio Bushrod, Jr., 17, is being charged as an adult after police say they found a revolver with three empty shell casings inside his locker.

The EVSC tells us each high school has a liaison officer that remains at each building during the school day.

Evansville Police Don Deeg told 14 News that any time a student has information regarding weapons, the most important step is to tell someone.

"If there's a student out there who knows of a friend who's carrying a gun, whether it's in school, out of school, as we all know, guns are very dangerous. Whether the person intends to hurt anybody or not, they can go off accidentally. They need to report that to somebody, somebody they're comfortable with. It can be reported anonymously to 911, go to a parent, go to a counselor, go to an aunt, uncle."

He's now in the Vanderburgh County jail on $10,000 bond.
