A crash near the Vanderburgh-Gibson County line sent two people to the hospital Wednesday night.
It happened around 9:00 p.m. on I-64 near the 22 mile marker.
Witnesses say they saw a wrong way driver veer into the path of an UPS truck driven by Clifton Sebree of Evansville in the westbound lanes.
Vanderburgh County Deputy Robert Schmidt tells us Sebree did the best he could in the situation, "the UPS driver, he did see the driver coming the wrong way. You know these interstate people are traveling very fast. He noticed it, he slowed down and actually turned his hazards on and tried to pull off to the shoulder and sometimes you just can't avoid somebody going the wrong way. He did a very good job trying to avoid the collision."
The driver of the car was flown to an Evansville hospital with life-threatening injuries.
There is no word yet on a condition.
Sebree was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
