Defense rests, jury receives instructions in Cleveland Strangler trial

The defense has rested without presenting any witnesses in the Anthony Sowell murder trial.

Attorney's then reviewed defense exhibits to be submitted to the jury.

Shortly after 11AM, Judge Ambrose carefully read the jury instructions. He said instructions will take at least "a couple of hours."

Closing arguments will be heard first thing Wednesday morning. After that, the jury will get the case.

Sowell faces the death penalty if convicted of murdering eleven women. The bodies of the victims were found in and around Sowell's Imperial Avenue home in late 2009.
