EVANSVILLE, IN (WFIE) -

The tornado that devastated Joplin Missouri left hundreds of pets homeless.

The National Humane Society had a national adopt-a-thon this past weekend and over 750 animals found homes.

In fact, all of the dogs were adopted by folks from all over the United States.

Sierra Wilson, a signature school student, is planning to travel to Missouri this weekend to bring back 10 cats to put up for adoption at the Posey humane society.

Sierra earned volunteer of the month this month at the Posey humane society.
