Ovarian Cancer Email Concerns Doctors

A recent email being sent around about a test to detect ovarian cancer, has some doctors concerned.

The email says a simple blood test can detect ovarian cancer and prevent needless deaths.

Doctors say CA-125 is a tumor marker, often found in higher-than-normal amounts, in the blood of women with ovarian cancer.

But they say other conditions can also increase levels of CA-125.
